Basketball

Nothing But Net Basketball Academy

The Nothing But Net Basketball Academy is for kids between the ages of 6 and 12. In the program, kids will learn to play basketball in a safe and fun environment, developing all of the fundamental skills needed to play basketball well, both recreationally and at a higher competitive level. Players in the program, whether they are beginners or advanced, will be be trained in: speed, ball handling, defense, form, control, passing, angles, conditioning, footwork, explosiveness and most importantly, overall court awareness and intelligence.

Baseball

HitTrax Hitting Series

This hitting only series combines state of the art technology with first in class baseball instruction to help players pinpoint their exact areas of hitting strengths & weaknesses.  HitTrax, a baseball data and simulation system not only captures the critical areas of measurement for hitting performance, but also monitors the players development and progress over the course of the training series. Players will have the opportunity to hit in some of their favorite major league ballparks right inside the batting tunnel while parents will be given emailed reports each week that help track progress during the weeks of instruction.

HitTrax Hitting Leagues

The HitTrax Hitting Leagues are hitting-only games using the HitTrax Hitting System. Players are able to play 9-inning games in major league ballparks with winners, losers, playoffs and a champion! There is no defense in the HitTrax Hitting League – an A-Game Sports coach pitches to batters and hits and outs are determined by the HitTrax system.

Hitting For Power Series

This hitting-only series is a great opportunity for players to work on perfecting their swing and mechanics. Hitting can be a challenging task for even the best of players and our instructors break down all of the key elements critical for success. In this program, players will work on balance, weight distribution, proper upper and lower body rotation, hand movement and plate discipline. Nothing makes a player better at hitting than repetition and boys will have that opportunity through various weekly drills and games including tee work, soft toss, and live pitching. Players will also spend time learning how to adjust to pitch counts, protect the plate, hit to specific areas of the field, how to be patient at the plate and staying “inside the ball.”

5-Tool-Player Series

The 5 Tool Player Series is the perfect program for players looking to sharpen their skills in each area of baseball that makes a complete player. Kids will work on hitting, hitting for power, fielding, throwing and base running skills & speed. Players in this program will be encouraged to treat each part of his game as an important area of focus for baseball development.

Build-a-Pitcher Series

This pitching series will help kids learn and reinforce fundamental pitching skills whether they are beginners or have years of pitching experience. Each class, players will go through warm up and conditioning drills, mechanics breakdown and development, proper pitch grip and delivery. Pitchers will also work on fielding their position properly and how to mentally approach the game when they are on the mound. While most of the focus of the series will be on command of the fastball, older experienced players will have the opportunity to work on a secondary change up pitch that minimizes arm stress.

Long Toss Program

This 8 week series is for any player looking to increase their throwing velocity. Whether you are an infielder, outfielder, pitcher or catcher, this weekly 30-minute program will help add a few miles per hour to the speed of your throw or pitch. Each week, players will work on throwing and stretching drills that help condition their arms to improve accuracy, speed and distance.

T-Ball Instructional League

The A-GAME SPORTS T-Ball Instructional League is for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 5. Each Saturday, players will take part in one game – first receiving instruction on a particular skill, followed by a two-inning game.

Skills, Strength & Conditioning

This program is for players with at least 2 years of playing experience that not only want to work on their hitting and fielding skills but also strengthen the muscles that are most heavily used in the sport. Each session will be broken into 30 minutes of skills related instruction and 30 minutes of strength & conditioning activities. All of the strength & conditioning is done without the use of weights and will serve to not only enhance a player’s performance on the field but also help reduce the risk of injury associated with repetitive play.

Single Session Hitting

Single Session Hitting helps players get the repetition they require to be successful in the batters box. Each session will be about plate discipline, taking balls, swinging at strikes, and staying focused on situational baseball (Ages 7 – 9 group will focus more on plate discipline and less on situational baseball).

Infielders Glove Work

The Baseball Infielders Glove Work will allow players to work on the essentials of sound fielding mechanics, including footwork, glove position, body alignment and ball transfer. Proper throwing techniques, as well as situational plays, will be worked on  to help players develop the necessary physical and mental tools to become a confident and steady player on the diamond.

The 6v6 Flag Football League is an indoor flag football league for 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls. This league is for all levels of players who are looking to learn new skills or refine their skills in a fun and competitive league.

Flag Football Instructional Scrimmages

Quarterback Skills Training

Quarterback Skills Training is a program for beginners. Whether your child is looking to play flag football or tackle football, this program will teach kids the basics of throwing a football correctly, as well as the responsibilities associated with the quarterback position. Kids will learn proper football grip, arm and foot positioning, and delivery of the ball to targeted receivers with accuracy and velocity. Time will also be spent teaching kids how to look at the field of play and making decisions on when  passes should be attempted.

Boys 5v5 Winter Lax League

The 5v5 Lax League is a 6-team, 12-week league for boys in 3rd and 4th grade. The league will be made up of five organized teams and one “house team” made up of players that sign up without a team.

Boys Stick Skills: Phase I

Lacrosse Stick Skills – Phase I is for players with at least 2 years of playing experience that are looking to perfect their passes while learning new techniques that will help them outplay their opponents.  The 10 week series will focus on hand coordination both statically and on the move.

Boys Advanced Dodging & Shooting

The Advanced Dodging & Shooting lacrosse program is for players with at least two years of experience. The program will help players perfect footwork while dodging downhill, shoot hard and pull the trigger on the run. Players will also work on getting their hands back and away from their body while improving their speed and accuracy.

Little Athletes Academy

Weekday Programs

A-Game Sports’ Little Athletes Academy Weekday Programs offer sports and creative recreational programs for kids between the ages of 2 and 4. The goal and focus of each program offered is to introduce sports skills and concepts at an early age to not only develop fine and gross motor skills, but to provide an early introduction to key values such as honesty, teamwork, respect, fairness and adherence to rules and direction. In addition to the physical education benefits related to movement and balance that Little Athletes Academy programs provide, classes will introduce soccer, baseball, football and other great sports at the very basic level while incorporating fundamentals.

Weekend Programs

Goalie Training – Girls

The Goalie Training programs are for beginner and intermediate level players. Beginner classes will teach the basic skills needed to develop a foundation for successfully playing the goalkeeper position. Players will learn proper stance and positioning, key rules associated with the goalie position, footwork, handling and catching, kicking and some diving. Intermediate classes will help girls with previous experience in the goalie position take their skill set to the next level. Players will work on becoming aggressive in attacking the ball, improving reaction time and working on angles to improve shot blocking and saving techniques.

The Soccer ABC program is an introduction to the sport for boys and girls who are still beginners. The focus of the program is for players to get used to the ball and game – practicing passing, trapping, dribbling, and shooting.

Windmill Pitching Series

The Windmill Pitching Series has classes for beginners and intermediate level players. Beginner will learn the basics of windmill pitching, including proper ball grip, wrist snap, stance, wind-up, delivery, stride and establishment of the power line. Intermediate level players will continue to work on reinforcing the proper mechanics taught in the beginners program, but will also learn to increase the speed and power behind their pitches. Some movement pitches and change-ups will be taught to students as well.

Strength & Conditioning

Girls Fast & Fit Series

This class will focus on agility, speed and functional strength for young athletes. Girls will work with agility ladders, ropes, balls, and their own body weight as resistance. Each class will end with a friendly competition to build spirit and good team skills. Sports conditioning prepares youth athletes for optimal performance in any sport they choose.

Need For Speed

This program for anyone that is simply looking to get faster.  Whether your child is a competitive athlete in a particular sport looking to gain an edge or is simply looking to get faster for personal motivation, the Need for Speed Series can get them where they want to go. The combination of strength & conditioning exercises on the mats combined with speed & agility drills on the turf offer an ideal platform for kids training to get faster. The use of ladders, medicine balls, resistance bands, jump ropes and speed hurdles are just some of the things that kids will train with each week as they look to perfect their running technique and reduce the amount of time it takes to get from point A to point B.  It doesn’t matter how fast your kid is to be part of this program.  The only thing that matters is their desire to get faster!
